Warming Ingredients

The spices that add complexity to Indian cuisine are known for their numerous health benefits. Combined, they create a culinary sensation that can help a body keep warm during freezing weather while fighting off infections. Cumin, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, garlic, coriander, and turmeric each have properties that aid in digestion, strengthen metabolism, reduce inflammation, or ease pain.

High in antioxidants, antimicrobials, and necessary minerals, the spices used in Indian cooking offer healing and warmth to both the body and soul.
